Mariposa is Victoria Winter's debut release under her project Shower Curtain. The five-track EP was recorded on a single tape deck, consisting mostly of an acoustic guitar and voice. A total of
11 minutes of pure bedroom pop reveals the feelings of melancholy, hopes, and dreams that wonder in Victoria’s room.

Even those who are not particularly into lo-fi recordings can agree that tracks such as Mutual and Mariposa are at least drafts of a hit. A tambourine, Victoria’s Casiotone and a mix of Portuguese and English lyrics contribute to the EP’s cozy vibes. Mariposa marks the birth of Everything Blue Records, a DIY label created by Victoria and her sister Samira, leader of the American band Winter. The release also marks a partnership between the sisters and their Brazilian friends from Pug Records.

Mariposa reúne algumas das primeiras canções do Shower Curtain, projeto solo de Victoria Winter. O EP de estreia da curitibana de 18 anos traz cinco faixas gravadas em fita cassete e conduzidas basicamente por voz e violão. Versando sobre sonhos, melancolia, esperança e outros sentimentos que flutuam pelo quarto de Victoria, são 11 minutos de bedroom pop em sua forma mais pura. Entretanto, para os insensíveis, incluindo os avessos a gravações lo-fi, faixas como Mutual e Mariposa são apenas o rascunho de um hit.

Decorado com meia-lua e eletrônica naive, misturando português e inglês, Mariposa é o primeiro voo da Everything Blue Records, selo recém-criado por Victoria e sua irmã Samira, líder da banda norte-americana Winter. O lançamento é uma parceria com a Pug Records, de Juiz de Fora.
